It serves as a co-pilot to our school and health center partners, strengthening MTSS/PBIS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports / Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) systems and building a strong preventive layer across the continuum of care.
Role
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial Backend Engineer with DevOps and Data Engineering skills to join our fast-paced startup team. You’ll help build scalable applications powering our educational and gaming platforms, working closely with frontend, AI, and data teams. If you thrive in dynamic environments and love taking ownership, we want you on board!
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend APIs using Python.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the AI team to build and optimize ETL/data pipelines.
- Ensure high system availability through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and using relational databases (SQL).
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Comfortable with DevOps practices: CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and containerization.
- Experience or strong interest in building data pipelines and working with datasets.
- Self-starter mentality, proactive problem-solving skills, and adaptability to startup pace.
- Clear communication skills and comfort collaborating cross-functionally.
Bonus Qualifications
- Exposure to data engineering tools (Airflow, Prefect).
- Familiarity with streaming platforms (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Interest in AI/ML workflows and model deployment.
